Skills: Design, Drawing, composition, colour theory, animation and motion, 2D and 3D illustration skills, light theory, and a  of software skills
Right: Croc and Ball
Animated in Cinema4D lite and Aftereffects. Croc and Ball is an experiment in using 2D animation with 3D animation. Basic shapes and forms were used and composted together for great effect. Cinema4D is very versatile and beautiful to use but proper use of it requires a hefty budget. Here I used the most basic on offer.

Croc and Ball

Right: Software sequence
This was used in an in-house sequence in the entrance foyer as visitors enter the building. It introduces the audience to the new software suite and creates a positive, engaging impression.
Above: Animated elements for use in video
The little animated sequences were used in an explainer type video where the steps of harvesting peas was explained. I made them into .gifs from out of Aftereffects where they were designed in conjunction with Illustrator.
Below: Animated elements for use in video
The first .gif is an animated logo sequence I developed from a logo I designed for the software suite. The logo can be used in multiple settings. Even used in an app with little Lottie. The second .gif shows 4 variants of the new video intro.

Right: Animated sequence using flat animation with 3D
I built the 3d object in Cinema4D lite and animated it there. The rest was composited in Aftereffects using Illustrator to create the 2D assets.

Left: Explainer video for understanding systems vs instruments
This is a series of sequences lifted from the video for use here in my portfolio. They show some animation sequences developed in Aftereffects using a variety of tools such as Illustrator and DUIK.
Skills: Traditional animation skills
Above and right: Monster cup of coffee
This is a small animation using ToonBoom and Aftereffects. The pencil test to the right was done in Photoshop.
Skills: Shooting video, editing in premiere, compositing and refinement in Aftereffects.
left: compression test
this video sequence shows a compression test being performed
Right: Torque test
A torque test, as a designer I wrote the style guide to focus on the app area which is really the area of interest. I shot the video masking out areas of movement in the background. I then cleaned up the clips in Aftereffects. Editing them first in Premiere and then putting them back together in Premiere.
Right: Materials test
Again focusing on the the rule of thirds to capture a problematic composition.
Right: Explainer video final version
This video is the final version of the .gifs shown in a section above. It's substantially different.
